Edina Outdoor Rinks Still Closed... But There's Hope

The City of Edina says all outdoor ice rinks remain closed Monday.  The city announced late last week it was closing the rinks for the weekend because of the warm weather.

"We hope to have rinks open tomorrow," said the city in a post on Twitter Monday morning.

It added that there are plans to re-open the Centennial Lakes rink Wednesday.

Edina PD to Teach Residents How to Haze Coyotes

It's not often you hear a person in a position of authority encouraging hazing.  But, if you attend an upcoming class put on by the Edina Police Department, you will.

The department plans a dozen presentations to the community  teaching them the "proper way to haze coyotes."

First it was Brooklyn Park, then Minnetonka.  Now, the City of Edina has made a major announcement about its outdoor ice rinks.

On Thursday afternoon, the city posted on Twitter that all outdoor skating rinks will be closed through Sunday.  The closure includes Centennial Lakes Park.

Warm Weather Closes Ice Rinks Wednesday

If you were planning to skate in Edina, Wednesday, you may be out of luck.

In a message on Twitter, the city announced it was closing all outdoor ice rinks and general skating rinks.  The reason: warm weather.
