Keith Downey Ambitions

A former state representative wants to be the next head of the Minnesota Republican Party.

Edina's Keith Downey told fellow Republicans on Wednesday that he'll vie for the party chairmanship in early April. Current chairman Pat Shortridge is stepping down.

Congressman Erik Paulsen will be visiting Highlands Elementary School in Edina tomorrow , Wednesday, October 24th, at 10am. He'll be meeting with students there .

National Voter Registration Day

Today, Tuesday, September 25, 2012 is National Voter Registration Day! Don't miss out on the opportunity to vote this year.

Volunteers from the Edina League of Women Voters will be manning a table in Edina City Hall's Lobby from 8:00 a.m. until 4:30 p.m. to assist any residents that need to register to vote.

National Voter Registration Day Hosted Sept. 25

If you haven’t registered to vote for this year’s election, you can join thousands of volunteers, celebrities, and organizations on National Voter Registration Day.

The initiative is meant to create widespread awareness of voter registration opportunities throughout the country. It takes place Tuesday, Sept. 25.
